The Hijab is a general term used to describe the act of Muslim women covering. The side glances and awkward looks from passing pedestrians only last a few seconds. I use video stills to isolate and emphasize the moment when a spectator reacts to both the hijab and the act of smoking a cigarette while wearing it.
